Introduction to the coating machine1. Coating process Currently, the most frequently used coating processes are mainly scraping, roller coating, ultrasonic spraying, and slot coating.
2. Roller coating The rotation of the coating roller drives the slurry, adjusting the slurry transfer amount through the scraper gap, and the rotation of the back roller and coating roller transfers the slurry onto the substrate. The process is shown in the figure below. Roller coating transfer involves two basic processes: (1) The rotation of the coating roller drives the slurry through the gap between the metering rollers, forming a slurry layer of a certain thickness; (2) A certain thickness of slurry layer is transferred onto the film material by rotating between the opposite-direction coating roller and the back roller to form a coating. 3. Slit coating As a precision wet coating technology, its working principle is that the coating liquid is squeezed and sprayed along the gaps in the coating mold under a certain pressure and flow rate, transferring onto the substrate. Compared to other coating methods, it offers many advantages, such as fast coating speed, high precision, and uniform wet thickness; The coating system is enclosed, preventing contaminants from entering during the coating process, resulting in high slurry utilization and stable slurry properties, allowing simultaneous multi-layer coating. It can adapt to different slurry viscosities and solid content ranges, offering stronger adaptability compared to transfer coating processes. Slot-die coating is a high-precision coating method, not only applied to electronic fabrics (FPC, RCC, CSP, LOC, etc.), optical films (brightening films, hardcoats, polarizing films, diffusion films, etc.), battery plates, and other rolled substrates, but also for non-continuous substrates such as LCD glass substrate photoresist coating. Its operating principle is to pump a certain amount of fluid into a mold that can evenly spread the fluid. Slot coating can process various types of adhesives (including special transparent adhesives) for batteries, ceramic capacitors, decorative surfaces, electronic display media, filter films, flooring, fuel cells, magnetic slurry, medical products, photoresist materials, pressure-sensitive tapes, solar cells, superconductors, tear tapes, and window films, among others. |
